From 16 August 2013 the YORscep Supply Chain Engagement Programme will be managed by the YORhub Operational team and led by YORbuild West subregion Framework Manager David Galloway.
It is intended that the new look SCEP will bring members closer to the whole YORhub team and build on the solid foundations laid by Tony Carroll and Andrew McCormick of Think Zero who the YORhub Team would like to thank for delivering the SCEP so successfully on YORhub’s behalf since its inception 2 years ago. The purpose of the programme has always been to make a contribution to sustaining businesses in the region, and this continues to be the core objective for the new programme.
Besides circulating all the latest YORbuild framework pipeline opportunities directly from contractors to members via a new exclusive area on the YORhub Members’ website, the SCEP will continue to offer a wider informal business network for the region. Membership of the SCEP is not restricted to construction trades but is also open to any associated providers, from consultants and training providers to clothing and equipment suppliers.
YORscep has always been dedicated to bringing together subcontractors, suppliers and public sector opportunities as part of YORbuild’s integrated management plan, shared with all YOR frameworks. In its refreshed form, the SCEP will maintain its long-established personal, friendly approach, whilst harnessing the power of online collaboration to strengthen healthy working relationships across the construction sector throughout Yorkshire and Humber.
There will continue to be a minimum of 4 Meet the Buyer meetings for SCEP Members every year at venues in all 4 subregions of the YORbuild framework as specific project opportunities arise, so there will be plenty of opportunities for members to meet the YORhub team, clients and contractors in person. There will also be induction training events for new members to increase understanding of the framework management strategy and its core aims to deliver added value to the local communities of YOR frameworks’ users.

Going forward subcontractors in the SCEP will have exclusive access to detailed information on upcoming YORbuild projects and opportunities 24/7 posted on the YORhub Members’ site https://www.yorhub.net. The collaborative technology developed for YORhub by Diva Creative will help members keep in touch with the YORbuild team and network with the YORbuild framework’s main contractors. Larger scale YORcivil project details, including specific project Meet the Buyer events, will also be circulated to SCEP Members through this channel.
The YORhub Operational team will be providing further details about how to register as a YORscep member on www.yorhub.net and how to adjust existing membership in order to access the new YORscep area of the website in due course.
