YORhub has just published an EU advert for a £2 billion major civil engineering works framework for projects in excess of £10m.
This follows the success of the current YORcivil2 framework that has led to a commitment from local authorities throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region to delivering their large scale infrastructure projects through this new framework.
Works will include maintenance to and construction of new highways and bridges, public realm, flood alleviation schemes, integrated transport hubs and associated works.
Eight contractors are proposed to be appointed to the framework. Tenders are to be returned in early June 2019 and framework award by September. Call off options include direct selection and single or two stage mini competitions.
The YORcivil Major Works framework offers clients the flexibility to choose either the NEC4 or NEC3 form of contract.
