Breheny deliver YOR4Good site initiative

Whilst undertaking the YORcivil3 Framework awarded Jubilee Culvert Strengthening Works at Laxton, on behalf of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the Breheny Civil Engineering team were able to support Laxton Victory Hall’s traffic control during their annual 10K run with the loaning of control barriers.

Dave Smith from the Laxton Victory Hall committee said: “Breheny were kind enough to allow us to borrow a number of barriers for two days to help with car parking control for our 10K event. We have close on 200 cars for this event (around 300 competitors) and traffic control is a big part of the support team effort. The barriers were worth another man, and in an event that depends on volunteers this was invaluable.”

Building on this feedback, Breheny kindly purchased and donated 8 brand-new control barriers for the Village Hall to use during their future events. These were delivered by Dave Leafe on 5th September, identifying this as a small gesture with a lasting community impact.

Andy Newell, Breheny’s YORcivils Framework Manager said:  “Huge thanks to the team for going the extra mile and showing how our work can make a difference beyond the project itself.”
