
New lease of life for community facility
JP Developers Ltd were awarded the Repair & Maintenance project at 4 Whinny Gill Road, under the YORbuild 3 Minor Framework on behalf of North Yorkshire Council. Whilst undertaking the works, during a meeting with Skipton Town Council, the need for the MUGA refurbishment was identified.
JP Developers Ltd delivered the MUGA refurbishment to fulfil their YOR4Good Fund social value commitment. They provided newly painted court markings for a variety of sports: football, basketball, and netball, along with a full repaint of the court framework. For the MUGA summer launch event, JP Developers funded the provision of specialist sports coaches to demonstrate to residents how the MUGA can be used for a variety of games. They also, provided small outdoor games and two bouncy castles to contribute to the success of the launch event.
In total, JP Developers Ltd provided £2,380 of social value to the MUGA refurbishment and summer launch event.
A spokesperson for Skipton Town Council said: “This refurbishment means so much to our community, and it is fantastic to see families coming together to enjoy the new facilities. We are extremely grateful to JP Developers for making this possible, and to all the local businesses who supported today’s event.”
