YORhub wishes to announce the retirement of our YORbuild Framework Manager (North area), Martin Aston.

Beginning his career as an estimator in the days of compulsory competitive tendering for their Direct Labour Organisation – Martin worked for Scarborough Borough Council for over 30 years and then continued in his role as Framework Manager with North Yorkshire Council.

YORhub Board Member, Chris Bourne said: “We would like to wish Northern Area Framework Manager, Martin Aston, best wishes on his retirement. Martin has had an illustrious career in local government and has been an invaluable member of the framework team. I am sure all contractors and clients will wish him well, and a long and happy retirement.”

YORbuild Framework Programme Manager, Philip Henderson, also paid tribute saying: “Martin has been an invaluable part of the YORbuild team for more than a decade, contributing to framework procurements and most recently serving as the Framework Manager for the North area. His dedication, professionalism and extensive knowledge of construction project management have made a lasting impact on the YORbuild frameworks. I wish him all the best as he begins his well-deserved retirement.”

The Northern area will now be managed by Kate Chapman of NYC, assisted by Jonathan Robertson.
