10:15am – 10:45 YORcivil Panel: This panel will explore upcoming civils demand across key trades in the Yorkshire and Humber region over the next 12 months, with insights from five main contractors on the framework. The discussion will cover:

  • the most effective routes for new suppliers to get noticed
  • what contractors expect from a strong first approach
  • the factors that drive repeat work and long-term relationships

Panellists will also share what sets high-performing civil engineering SMEs apart offering practical guidance on how to successfully engage and grow within their supply chains.

11:00am – 11:30 YORbuild panel The YORbuild panel brings together procurement and supply chain professionals from four of the main contractors on the framework, offering a valuable opportunity to hear directly from them all in one place particularly for those who may not have the chance to engage with them individually. This session will highlight:

  • upcoming demand across key building trades In the Yorkshire and Humber regions
  • how new suppliers can successfully position themselves
  • what drives repeat work and long-term partnerships.

The panel will also address common onboarding challenges faced by SMEs, providing clear guidance on how to overcome common barriers.

11:45am – 12:15 Employment & Skills Panel: This panel brings together key stakeholders involved in delivering employment and skills outcomes across YORhub projects, offering main and subcontractors a practical perspective on how to strengthen their commercial position through social value. The session will explore:

  • upcoming opportunities for engaging with learners from apprenticeships and T Level placements
  • work experience and what education and training providers look for in strong industry partners.

Panellists will also outline simple, actionable steps for SMEs to get started with partnerships, alongside guidance on how to effectively evidence these collaborations within bids and social value reporting.
