It helps drive regeneration and economic growth by showcasing opportunities and enabling partnerships across the UK. Collaborating on events.
The YORhub team was pleased to contribute to several sessions alongside our framework partners:
Currie & Brown
At the UKREiiF Fringe Breakfast panel, “Delivering with confidence in volatile times”, Mike Raven joined Richard Hill (Director, Currie & Brown) for a lively and well-attended discussion. The session – standing room only – explored how confidence in project delivery can be maintained in uncertain market conditions, focussing on the three pillars of people, technology, and data. With strong audience participation, the conversation highlighted the importance of collaboration, data-led decision making and early risk identification in keeping projects on track.

Wates Construction
Mike also took part in an invitation-only roundtable hosted by Wates Construction in the Wates Pavilion. Chaired by Steffan Battle (Executive Managing Director, Wates Construction), the session brought together senior representatives from central government – including the Ministry of Justice, NHS England and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation – alongside industry leaders. Discussion centred on how intelligent collaboration and alliancing models can support effective delivery of major national programmes. Mike emphasised the value of transparent pipelines and recognising the critical role of people in successful project delivery.

Digital Construction Working Group
Later in the day, YORhub sponsored the Constructing Excellence North and Local Government Association Digital Construction Working Group networking event at the Invest Hull & East Yorkshire pavilion. The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with YORhub suppliers, local authority members and senior officers in an informal setting.
Kier
On Thursday, Mike chaired a panel at the Kier Pavilion to launch their Next Generation Day. Joined by Sean Fenner (Managing Director – North & Scotland, Kier), Nikki Davis (Principal, Leeds College of Building) and Rhianna Greenwood (Assistant Design Manager), the panel discussed the opportunities and challenges facing the sector, and what is needed to attract and retain future talent. The session was followed by networking with students, alongside senior Kier representatives, helping to inspire the next generation of construction professionals.

UKREiiF 2026 provided Mike, Gary, Caroline and Phil with the perfect opportunity to chat about YORhub’s frameworks and forge new contacts with various sectors within development and construction.
Client Engagement Advisor, Caroline Key said; “What a week! It has been crazy, thought provoking, wonderful catching up with people and exhausting! My voice is going, my legs are tired but I can’t wait to do it again next year! ”
The YORhub team would like to express their gratitude to exhibitors and attendees for their hospitality at this exciting event. Mike Raven said, ‘We would like to thank everyone who took the time to connect with us during UKREiiF and look forward to continuing those conversations in the months ahead.’
