Ali has started the data collection phase of his research and is close to contributing to both research and practice with results that address a very understudied sector. Ali’s project will enable better understanding on how construction innovations flow in UK public bodies, and what MMC means to public client organisations.
Ali has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Lebanon and a Master’s Degree (with Distinction) in Construction Management from Coventry University where he was awarded the Best MSc Student Award for the year of 2018. Ali has also been awarded the BREEAM Approved Graduate certificate and Chartered Management Institute level 7 certificates.
Professionally, he has worked within one of Dubai’s largest companies and has held managerial positions on major projects including Hilton Dubai, Marriott Palm, and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa in the exotic Palm Jumairah, the world’s largest man-built island. Prior to that he worked as an intern on a project for the Lebanese National Museum in Saida, one of the oldest cities in the world, where the works were carried out in collaboration with the British Museum.
