Wilmott Dixon delivers for Colburn, Catterick and Richmond Fijian Community
A community group supporting Fijian families, veterans and military households across Catterick, Colburn and Richmond is benefiting from new equipment funded through the YOR4Good Fund.
Delivered by Willmott Dixon in September 2026, the project provided 10 insulated food containers to the Colburn, Catterick and Richmond Fijian Community (CCRFC), helping the group safely serve hot food at community gatherings, celebrations and charity events.
CCRFC plays an important role in bringing people together, strengthening connections within the local Fijian community while celebrating and preserving Fijian culture, identity and traditions. Through its close links with veterans and military families, the group regularly hosts events that provide opportunities for people to connect, share experiences and build a sense of belonging.
Food is central to many of these occasions, but a lack of suitable equipment had previously made it difficult to keep meals warm and ready to serve. Recognising the difference a simple investment could make, Wilmott Dixon stepped in to provide insulated food containers and support to the value of £1450 to aid the group’s activities for years to come.
The containers have already proved their value, having been used during the Fiji Independence Day celebration on 10 October 2026. The new equipment helped ensure food could be served safely and at the correct temperature throughout the event, enhancing the experience for everyone attending.
The project reflects Willmott Dixon’s commitment to creating lasting social value by supporting inclusive community initiatives that promote wellbeing, strengthen community connections and celebrate cultural diversity.
Joseva T., Chairman of CCRFC, said: “I would like to say a massive thank you for your donation. This will be a huge help for our community events in the future. ‘Vinaka vakalevu’ (thank you very much) for your support.”
By investing in practical resources that meet local needs, the YOR4Good Fund continues to help community organisations expand their impact and create positive, lasting benefits for the people they support.
