Toolkit published to assist councils
The LGA has published a Social Value Toolkit to help councils benefit from embedding social value into their procurement processes. The toolkit acts as a starting point, providing guidance to help councils wanting to deliver added value initiatives for their local communities in areas such as employment, training and health.
The toolkit has been written for district councils which often have fewer resources or opportunities to deliver social value through procurements, but applies equally to any local authority looking to start out in developing a social value policy.
