The steel framed structure is clad with a contemporary mixture of brickwork, render and timber, with aluminium windows and curtain walling and a single ply membrane roof finish
School staff and children had the opportunity to visit the site during construction, allowing them to see their new spaces
Landscaping is a key feature of the project. External teaching areas including sensory walks, habitat areas and man made and natural play equipment are integral to the outdoor spaces.
The school layout provided general teaching spaces for reception, KS1 and KS2, and a multi function hall area that provides for PE teaching, assemblies and performances
Bardsley implemented a waste management scheme on site. Materials were reused on the project to reduce transfer production; segregated skips were used to sort and record any waste generated on the site in compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and Site Waste Management Plans
