Wider opportunities as YORscep relaunched with TSCN

YORhub is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Supply Chain Network (TSCN), which will now host our Supply Chain Engagement Programme (YORscep) on its digital opportunities platform.

For many years, YORhub’s Supply Chain Engagement Programme has helped connect suppliers and subcontractors with opportunities across the YORbuild and YORcivil frameworks. Through events, contractor engagement and the YORhub Members’ Portal, the programme has provided businesses with a route into public sector construction projects across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

As part of a two-year study undertaken in collaboration with Leeds Beckett University, YORhub has been reviewing how suppliers engage with procurement opportunities, how digital platforms can better support collaboration, and how technology can help create stronger, more accessible supply chains for the future. The result is a major transformation of YORscep – designed to create a more connected and engaging experience for the region’s construction community.

TSCN is a sector-wide digital tool that helps businesses connect with suppliers and hosts over 1,600 businesses. The platform supports local and regional supply chains by highlighting relevant tender and contract opportunities and advertising more than £247 million worth of opportunities over 2025-26, with 15% of that work being won by TSCN suppliers. The partnership with YORhub is expected to generate approximately £1 million in additional opportunities for businesses registered on the site.

As part of the partnership, YORscep will use the Opportunities Map area of the site to support the main contractors working on YORbuild and YORcivil framework projects. This will enable contractors to share subcontracting and supplier opportunities with businesses across Yorkshire and the Humber. The new partnership will give suppliers direct visibility of procurement opportunities arising from YORhub frameworks, helping to ensure local supply chains remain at the heart of projects delivered through the frameworks.

YORscep has always been about more than simply advertising opportunities, however. The programme also helps suppliers connect with framework contractors through our Meet the Buyer events, which can build lasting business relationships. Strong local supply chains are central to YORhub’s Constructing Local philosophy. Every successful connection between a framework contractor and a regional supplier has the potential to support jobs, skills, apprenticeships and economic growth across Yorkshire and the Humber.

As YORhub unveils the next generation of YORscep with TSCN, the programme remains focused on the same core objectives that have underpinned it from the beginning: helping businesses connect with opportunities and supporting the delivery of better outcomes for local communities.

YORbuild Programme Manager, Phil Henderson, said:

“Supporting local businesses and creating opportunities within regional supply chains is a key priority for YORhub. This partnership will help strengthen local economic growth and ensure that the benefits of our construction and civil engineering projects are shared across the businesses within the Yorkshire and Humber region.”
