YOR4Good is the community grant initiative of YORhub
The scheme is a partnership between East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Leeds City Council, Scarborough Borough Council, Sheffield City Council and Rotherham Metropolitan District Council, and its framework construction contractors, who use part of their corporate social responsibility commitments to contribute to the YOR4Good fund. This fund provides a combination of cash and/or resources to support community groups in our region.

Ravenscliffe Community Centre
This latest announcement sees a variety of community projects that will benefit from the contributions of YORhub framework contractors. These include nature reserves, food growing schemes, community gardens, schools and sports clubs
The scheme in Bradford is due to receive £8,508.19 for improvements to their facility. The centre assists local residents in tackling poverty and disadvantage by providing activities and services that target the causes of poverty, social exclusion and unemployment.
Rooted in Hull
An innovative urban agriculture project currently being developed in Hull. The self-described ‘farm in a box’ aims to help the community understand nutrition and where food comes from. Visitors can not only learn how their food is grown, but also how farming and distribution can impact the environment.
Rooted in Hull will receive benefit in kind, in the form of scaffolding and decking to expand their central structure, being provided by YORbuild2 contractor Hobson and Porter

YOR4Good is one of the four social value themes contractually built into the YORhub construction frameworks. It has been created to support community schemes in the regions covered by YORhub’s frameworks.
Since its launch in 2011, YOR4Good has supported over 130 projects through donations exceeding £900,000.
