The ingenuity, sustainability and development of YORhub contractors were highlighted at the annual awards

The CEYH awards for 2019 saw YORhub projects and contractors praised for their value to the industry and communities, illustrating the high standards of practice and incredible contributions to the wider community

The annual CEYH event celebrates the companies, collaborations and projects that exemplify best practice and encourage others to adopt new and better ways of working. The awards commend the private and public sector, micro, SME and large contractors, designers, consultants, clients and suppliers

YORhub projects were celebrated

Riverside School, Goole. Phase one new build extension- Geo Houlton, ERYC (YORbuild2)

This project provided extra learning spaces at the school with particular emphasis on SEN facilities. The project which was finished in July 2019 won the Value Award.

 

Housing thermal upgrades, Bridlington– Hobson & Porter (YORbuild2)

Thermal insulation upgrades given to 117 council properties in the town. They were provided with roofing works, external wall insulation, central heating and new windows and doors. This project won the sustainability award.

Runswick Bay Coastal Protection Scheme–  Haskoning DHV UK ltd. (YORconsult2)

Commended through the Innovation Award. This project bolstered the sea defences of the North Yorkshire town while also successfully providing a new habitat for sea life.

 

YORhub contractors are committed to providing wider social benefits through their projects

This commitment is exemplified in this year’s awards

Interserve and Galliford Try, two YORbuild2 contractors, were praised together in the Integration and Collaborative Working category, with Interserve taking the top prize . ENGIE, another YORbuild2 contractor, won the People Development Award
